The conflicts described in the story, are seen from the perspective of a US Marine and a soldier of the Special Air Service, British and take place in various locations including the UK, Middle East, Azerbaijan, Russia and Ukraine. The story takes place in 2011, where a radical leader executed the president of an unrecognized country in the Middle East, and a “movement ultranationalist “initiates a civil war in Russia. In September 2009 it was reissued in Japan by Square Enix. Call of Duty 4 was in production for two years and uses a game engine owned by Infinity Ward. The game breaks away from the previous series of arguments about the Second World War and is located in present scenario.
It was the first game in the series to have an M rating ( mature ) in the United States. It is the fourth title in the series Call of Duty (excluding expansion packs ), and the first franchise of Modern Warfare, then followed by a direct sequel, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The Mac version was released in September 2008 and the version Wii edited in November 2009 with the subtitle Reflex Edition. It was released in North America, Australia and Europe in November 2007 for home consoles and Windows. It was also released a portable version the Nintendo DS.
